Two or three hours mostly on your feet on hard ground. Comfortable shoes matter more than fitness.
The route is public space
Markets, lanes and places of worship are where people live and pray. Ask before photographing anyone and cover up where others do.

Good mix of the obvious things and a few places we'd never have found. Hostel nights are basic but clean, and that's what the price says. Guides answered every question, including the daft ones.

Yes. Ireland is not in Schengen and issues its own visa, so a Schengen visa does not cover it. Plan for that if you are combining Ireland with mainland Europe.
