Two or three hours mostly on your feet on hard ground. Comfortable shoes matter more than fitness.
The route is public space
Markets, lanes and places of worship are where people live and pray. Ask before photographing anyone and cover up where others do.

Tea, a fritter, an entry ticket. Card acceptance in old quarters is patchy at best.

Well paced over 7 days with enough free time to not feel herded. Hostel nights are basic but clean, and that's what the price says. The cooking was a genuine surprise — better than most places we'd have picked ourselves. No hesitation recommending them.

Aegean Turkey done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Dorms were tidy and the common areas were where the group actually gelled.

Questions people ask

Only in the designated shallow channel, barefoot, and the rest is roped off. The terraces were badly damaged in the eighties by hotels drawing off the thermal water and by people walking on them in shoes; the restrictions are what has let the white grow back.
