BEFORE YOU GO · CAUTIONARY DETAILS
Distances are short, the standing is long
Two or three hours mostly on your feet on hard ground. Comfortable shoes matter more than fitness.
The route is public space
Markets, lanes and places of worship are where people live and pray. Ask before photographing anyone and cover up where others do.
Cash for the small things
Tea, a fritter, an entry ticket. Card acceptance in old quarters is patchy at best.
Ask what the group size will be
A walking tour of six and one of thirty are different products at the same price. It is a fair question.

Well paced over 11 days with enough free time to not feel herded. Dorms were tidy and the common areas were where the group actually gelled. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy. Would book with them again.

Good mix of the obvious things and a few places we'd never have found. Would send friends their way.

Nile and Petra done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. The cooking was a genuine surprise — better than most places we'd have picked ourselves. Would send friends their way.

Well paced over 11 days with enough free time to not feel herded. Never went hungry, and the tea appeared exactly when it was needed. Solid operator.

Good mix of the obvious things and a few places we'd never have found. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Would book with them again.

Questions people ask

The Taba land crossing into Israel and on to Jordan is possible but slow and adds a third country's formalities. A flight via Cairo takes four hours door to door and is what almost every operator uses.
