BEFORE YOU GO · CAUTIONARY DETAILS
You are clipped to the cable at all times
Two lanyards, and you move them one at a time so one is always attached. That sequence is the whole technique.
Exposure is the difficulty, not the moves
The rungs are easy. The drop below them is what makes it hard, and no amount of fitness helps with that.
Get off before the afternoon storms
A steel cable up a rock face in a thunderstorm is the one situation to have already avoided. Early starts are not enthusiasm, they are the plan.
Gloves and a helmet, both provided
The cable frays and shreds bare hands, and the party above you dislodges stones.

Long transfer at both ends that isn't obvious from the listing. Budget a day either side.

Did this over 6 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Camp was pitched and the kitchen going by the time we walked in each evening. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it.

Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be.

Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy. Recommended.

Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.

The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. The cooking was a genuine surprise — better than most places we'd have picked ourselves. Solid operator.

Trentino in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it. Would book with them again.

Appreciate the honest feedback; we're looking at the pacing on that section.

Questions people ask

No, but you need a head for heights that you have actually tested. Via ferrata is not technically difficult — you clip a lanyard to a cable and walk — and it is relentlessly exposed. Day two is graded easy precisely so people find out on a short route rather than halfway across the Centrali.
