Day 1
Thrill season• Himalayan passes, snow treks and open water Find your next one
Seven days, three on a volcano and three on the water. Seven days with a porter ratio above the local norm, proper tents and sleeping mats at the rim camp, and a private boat to the Gilis.
Rinjani is 3,726 m and an active volcano. The crater rim trek is the standard objective; the summit itself is a separate and much harder night.

Lombok in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. No hesitation recommending them.
The trek itself is good but the group was too large for the trail on the summit day.
Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.
Did this over 7 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Every night's lodge was a step up from what I'd braced for. Simple food, well made, and enough of it.
