Two or three hours mostly on your feet on hard ground. Comfortable shoes matter more than fitness.

Markets, lanes and places of worship are where people live and pray. Ask before photographing anyone and cover up where others do.

Well paced over 8 days with enough free time to not feel herded. Hotels were clean and central, which saved a lot of time. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. No hesitation recommending them.

Because Punta del Este is where Argentina goes on holiday in January and prices roughly double while everything fills. November and March have the same weather and none of that.
