Hwange has no natural surface water in the dry season. The game concentrates at pumped pans, which is both why the viewing is good and why the pumps matter so much.

Sightings were thin on our dates, which is luck, but the drives felt rushed.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you on another trip.
Zimbabwe was quieter than I expected and the camp was comfortable. Meals were good throughout and the vegetarian options weren't an afterthought. Would book with them again.
Early starts, but that's where the wildlife is. Well run. Every night's lodge was a step up from what I'd braced for. The cooking was a genuine surprise — better than most places we'd have picked ourselves. Worth every rupee.
Excellent sightings and the guides clearly knew the area. Would send friends their way.

Early starts, but that's where the wildlife is. Well run. The teahouses were warm and the beds were fine after eight hours walking. Simple food, well made, and enough of it. Would book with them again.
