8 days, planned by Two Stroke Society
Gearing matters more than anything on this route. The shakedown ride is where a wrong cassette gets swapped, not at 4,890 m.

“The same rides for people bringing their own machine”
Support, route and permits for riders on their own bikes. No rentals, no pillion seats, and a hard line on riding experience at handover.
Machines were well maintained and the daily briefings were short and useful. Worth every rupee.
Machines were well maintained and the daily briefings were short and useful. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing. Would book with them again.
8 days of proper riding. The support vehicle was never far when someone needed it. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. Crew were professional without being stiff about it. Would send friends their way.
Route planning was the strong point — long days, but the stops were in the right places. Hostel nights are basic but clean, and that's what the price says. Solid operator.
Machines were well maintained and the daily briefings were short and useful. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Worth every rupee.
Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.
One of the bikes had problems from day two and the spare took a while to arrive.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.

Very. This is 480 km with about 8,000 m of cumulative climbing, most of it above 4,000 m where you have around sixty per cent of the oxygen. Both operators ask for a documented 100 km ride in the six weeks before departure.
One other operator runs this ride. See all 2 side by side →
