Dive within your certification
A card states a depth and a set of conditions. Going beyond either on holiday, with an instructor who has known you for an hour, is how divers get hurt.
Never hold your breath
The first rule of breathing compressed air, and the one that kills people who forget it. Breathe continuously on every ascent.
No flying for at least eighteen hours
After multiple dives, longer. Book the flight home with a clear day in between, not the same evening.
Touch nothing
Coral takes decades to grow and breaks in a moment, and a great deal of what looks inert is alive. Buoyancy control is not just a skill, it is how you avoid destroying what you came to see.

Kit was in good condition, which matters more than people realise. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing. Would send friends their way.

Instruction was patient — I came in nervous and finished wanting to book the next level. Dorms were tidy and the common areas were where the group actually gelled. Never went hungry, and the tea appeared exactly when it was needed. Good value for what's included.

Questions people ask

You can, and a lot of people crash. The roads are steep, broken and busy with trucks, and hospital access is a boat ride away. Both operators include a driver and strongly advise against scooters for a first visit.
