“The far north on a smaller budget and a shorter itinerary”
Shorter northern trips from a single base, for people who want the Arctic without the expedition price.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. The campsites were well chosen — sheltered, and close enough to water. Good value for what's included.
Finnish Lapland in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy. Worth every rupee.
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Worth every rupee.
Did this over 6 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Camp was pitched and the kitchen going by the time we walked in each evening. Never went hungry, and the tea appeared exactly when it was needed. Good value for what's included.

Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Camp was pitched and the kitchen going by the time we walked in each evening. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing. No hesitation recommending them.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be.
Long transfer at both ends that isn't obvious from the listing. Budget a day either side.
Thank you for travelling with us — glad the route worked out.
Minus fifteen to minus twenty-five is normal in January and February, and it can go past minus thirty. The thermal suit, boots and mittens are provided because the kit most visitors bring is not adequate. Moving on snowshoes keeps you warm; standing still for the aurora does not.
