The phrase "going round the bend" is often traced to the telegraph staff posted on that island in the 1860s, though the etymology is disputed and the guides will say so.

“Reefs and islands, with the marine park fees always included”
A dive and snorkel operator that publishes marine park fees in the headline price because hiding them is how the industry got its reputation.
Visibility was excellent and the boat ran on time every morning. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. Meals were good throughout and the vegetarian options weren't an afterthought. Good value for what's included.
Great few days in the water. Briefings were clear and nobody was pushed beyond their level. Rooms were comfortable and the locations meant we could walk most evenings. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down.
Instruction was patient — I came in nervous and finished wanting to book the next level. Worth every rupee.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
Great few days in the water. Briefings were clear and nobody was pushed beyond their level. Crew were professional without being stiff about it. Good value for what's included.
Great few days in the water. Briefings were clear and nobody was pushed beyond their level. Hotels were clean and central, which saved a lot of time. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing. Would book with them again.
Conditions were poor for two of the days, which nobody can control, but the schedule wasn't adjusted. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing.

Boat was crowded. Fine for the diving, less fine for the surface intervals.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you on another trip.
Kit was in good condition, which matters more than people realise. Rooms were comfortable and the locations meant we could walk most evenings. Crew were professional without being stiff about it. No hesitation recommending them.
Because Musandam has no land connection to the rest of Oman — the UAE sits between them. You either drive up from Dubai through two borders, which is what almost everyone does, or fly Muscat-Khasab on a small aircraft.
