“The same Himalayan routes in dorm tents and shared transport”
The budget half of the same market. Dorm tents, shared jeeps and no porters unless you hire one — and the same leaders on the hill.
Uttarakhand in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Camp was pitched and the kitchen going by the time we walked in each evening. Solid operator.
The trek itself is good but the group was too large for the trail on the summit day.
Thank you for travelling with us — glad the route worked out.
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Simple food, well made, and enough of it. Would send friends their way.

Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. The campsites were well chosen — sheltered, and close enough to water. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy. Good value for what's included.
Did this over 7 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Worth every rupee.
Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.

No. The last stretch to the lake is a snow slope and it is closed by the forest department or the lead in bad conditions. Roughly one departure in five turns around at Bhagwabasa, and that is the system working.
