BEFORE YOU GO · CAUTIONARY DETAILS
Check the altitude before you book the flight
Leh is at 3,500 m and you arrive there by aeroplane in an hour from sea level, which is the fastest ascent most people will ever make. Two full days doing nothing on arrival is the standard advice and it is not optional because you are on holiday rather than a trek.
A holiday itinerary still has hard days in it
Pass crossings by road, long transfers and early starts are normal on these trips. Read the day plan rather than the brochure photograph.
Ask what the group size actually is
A group holiday is priced on filling a coach. It is a fair question and the answer changes the trip completely.
The places you pass through are lived in
Ask before photographing people and houses, take your shoes off where others do, and buy locally where you can. A holiday moves through more communities in a week than a trek does.

Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Hotels were clean and central, which saved a lot of time. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy. Good value for what's included.

Bali done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Recommended.

Appreciate the honest feedback; we're looking at the pacing on that section.

Well paced over 6 days with enough free time to not feel herded. Worth every rupee.

Well paced over 6 days with enough free time to not feel herded. No complaints about any of the hotels — all of them well placed. Crew were professional without being stiff about it. No hesitation recommending them.

Bali done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Hotels were clean and central, which saved a lot of time. Food was plentiful and hot, which counts for a lot at altitude. Worth every rupee.

Good mix of the obvious things and a few places we'd never have found. Hotels were clean and central, which saved a lot of time. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy. Would send friends their way.
