The textbook acclimatisation day: 4,630 m at lunch, 3,960 m at night. It feels like wasted altitude and it is the reason people summit.

The wall is the only place on the route where you use your hands. It is not technical and it is not for anyone badly afraid of exposure.

“High-altitude trekking, run by people from the valleys”
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. Would send friends their way.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. Crew were professional without being stiff about it.
Did this over 8 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Rooms were comfortable and the locations meant we could walk most evenings. Would book with them again.
Did this over 8 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Meals were good throughout and the vegetarian options weren't an afterthought.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. Worth every rupee.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
Kilimanjaro in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Solid operator.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. Hotels were clean and central, which saved a lot of time. Would send friends their way.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you on another trip.
On the seven-day Machame it runs around eight in ten; on six days it drops to roughly six. The extra night at Karanga is the single biggest factor and it is the difference between the two operators here.
