The GR221 is the Dry Stone Route, built on the mule paths that linked the villages before the coast road. Chopin and George Sand spent a bad winter at Valldemossa in 1838 and she wrote a book complaining about it.

The MA-10 runs the length of the Tramuntana and is the best road on the island by a wide margin.

Balearic Islands in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it. Crew were professional without being stiff about it. Solid operator.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. Camp was pitched and the kitchen going by the time we walked in each evening. No hesitation recommending them.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. Would book with them again.
Did this over 7 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. The campsites were well chosen — sheltered, and close enough to water. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it. Solid operator.

Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. Meals were good throughout and the vegetarian options weren't an afterthought. Recommended.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. The campsites were well chosen — sheltered, and close enough to water. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy. Good value for what's included.
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it. Meals were good throughout and the vegetarian options weren't an afterthought. Worth every rupee.
Because the island takes an enormous number of visitors in July and August, the Tramuntana is in the mid-thirties, and the walking is unpleasant. Spring and autumn have the same landscape, the almond or olive harvest, and roughly half the people.
