The GR221 is the Dry Stone Route, built on the mule paths that linked the villages before the coast road. Chopin and George Sand spent a bad winter at Valldemossa in 1838 and she wrote a book complaining about it.

“Walking in Europe with the timed tickets booked at release”
A walking operator whose main skill is administrative: Alhambra slots, Sagrada tickets and hut beds, booked the day they open.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Would book with them again.
Did this over 7 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Hotels were clean and central, which saved a lot of time. Would book with them again.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. Good value for what's included.
Because the island takes an enormous number of visitors in July and August, the Tramuntana is in the mid-thirties, and the walking is unpleasant. Spring and autumn have the same landscape, the almond or olive harvest, and roughly half the people.
