An offsite mixes rafting, heights and long days across a whole team, and the person who is not comfortable is rarely going to say so in front of colleagues. Collect medical declarations privately, before the trip.
Everything must be genuinely optional
A jump, a rapid or a zipline that a colleague feels obliged to do is a liability and a bad day. Say clearly in advance that opting out is expected and normal.
Adventure operators are licensed; check yours is
Rafting, bungy and paragliding in India are all licensed by the state, and a corporate booking made on price alone is the one most likely to end up with an operator that is not.
No alcohol on activity days
The rule every licensed operator already applies, and the one an offsite is most likely to argue with.

We run big batches and we are open about it: up to twenty-two on a Kedarkantha departure, three leaders, and a price that reflects the economics. If you want an eight-person team this is not us. If you want the same trail at the lowest honest price with a leader who is actually certified, it is.

Uttarakhand done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Rooms were comfortable and the locations meant we could walk most evenings. Never went hungry, and the tea appeared exactly when it was needed. Would send friends their way.

Well paced over 3 days with enough free time to not feel herded. No complaints about any of the hotels — all of them well placed. Simple food, well made, and enough of it. Worth every rupee.
