BEFORE YOU GO · CAUTIONARY DETAILS
Distances are short, the standing is long
Two or three hours mostly on your feet on hard ground. Comfortable shoes matter more than fitness.
The route is public space
Markets, lanes and places of worship are where people live and pray. Ask before photographing anyone and cover up where others do.
Cash for the small things
Tea, a fritter, an entry ticket. Card acceptance in old quarters is patchy at best.
Ask what the group size will be
A walking tour of six and one of thirty are different products at the same price. It is a fair question.

Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Dorms were tidy and the common areas were where the group actually gelled. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Would book with them again.

Too much time on the coach and not enough at the places we'd come for. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down.

Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Hostel nights are basic but clean, and that's what the price says. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy. Would send friends their way.

Questions people ask

Because the ferries sell out, Hvar town is genuinely unpleasant with the crowds, and prices roughly double. May, June, September and October have warm sea, running ferries and a fraction of the people.
