“Self-guided European walking with route notes and luggage transfer”
Route notes, GPX and a van that moves your bag. No leader on the hill, which suits some people and not others.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Recommended.
Did this over 6 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Tents were warmer than expected and the camp was set up before we arrived. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy.
Appreciate the honest feedback; we're looking at the pacing on that section.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Would send friends their way.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you on another trip.
Canary Islands in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Tents were warmer than expected and the camp was set up before we arrived. Food was plentiful and hot, which counts for a lot at altitude. Recommended.
Long transfer at both ends that isn't obvious from the listing. Budget a day either side. Crew were professional without being stiff about it.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
Canary Islands in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. The cooking was a genuine surprise — better than most places we'd have picked ourselves. Worth every rupee.
Pace was set for the fastest people in the group and it made the middle days hard. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you on another trip.
Did this over 6 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Solid operator.
A free permit, capped at about two hundred people a day, needed for the last two hundred metres from the cable car station to the crater. It books out months ahead. Without it you reach 3,555 m and no further.
