“Long-haul group trips for people with two weeks and no plan”
Guangxi and Hunan in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Food was plentiful and hot, which counts for a lot at altitude. Solid operator.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it.
Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.
The trek itself is good but the group was too large for the trail on the summit day.

Did this over 9 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it.
The first week of October is a national holiday and Zhangjiajie becomes genuinely impassable — queues of several hours for the cable cars and caps on park entry. Neither operator will run a departure into it, and that is a refusal rather than a surcharge.
One other operator runs this trail. See all 2 side by side →
