“The same Himalayan routes in dorm tents and shared transport”
The budget half of the same market. Dorm tents, shared jeeps and no porters unless you hire one — and the same leaders on the hill.
Meghalaya in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Camp was pitched and the kitchen going by the time we walked in each evening. Food was plentiful and hot, which counts for a lot at altitude. Would send friends their way.
Meghalaya in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. The cooking was a genuine surprise — better than most places we'd have picked ourselves. No hesitation recommending them.
Meghalaya in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it. Crew were professional without being stiff about it.
The trek itself is good but the group was too large for the trail on the summit day. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it.
Appreciate the honest feedback; we're looking at the pacing on that section.
Did this over 5 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. The campsites were well chosen — sheltered, and close enough to water. Meals were good throughout and the vegetarian options weren't an afterthought. Worth every rupee.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Would book with them again.

Going down is hard on the knees; coming up is genuinely hard, about two to four hours depending on fitness, in humidity. It is the reason this trip is graded moderate rather than easy.
