BEFORE YOU GO · CAUTIONARY DETAILS
It is a course, not a test
Nobody is left alone in a forest. You are taught shelter, water, fire and navigation, and you practise them with an instructor beside you.
Expect to be uncomfortable on purpose
A night in a shelter you built is the point of the exercise. Bring a sleeping bag rated colder than the forecast.
Sharp tools are involved
Knife and axe work is taught properly and supervised. Tell the instructor about any hand or wrist injury.
Foraging is taught, not relied on
You will be fed. What you learn to identify is for knowing, not for your dinner.

Hotels were a step below what I expected for the price. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it.

Well paced over 5 days with enough free time to not feel herded. Rooms were basic in the best way — dry, warm, and right where we needed them. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it. No hesitation recommending them.

Maharashtra done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. The teahouses were warm and the beds were fine after eight hours walking. Meals were good throughout and the vegetarian options weren't an afterthought. Good value for what's included.

Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it. Would book with them again.

Good mix of the obvious things and a few places we'd never have found. Rooms were basic in the best way — dry, warm, and right where we needed them. Recommended.

Hotels were a step below what I expected for the price. Guides answered every question, including the daft ones.

Appreciate the honest feedback; we're looking at the pacing on that section.

Questions people ask

Yes, from the morning of day three to the walk out on day five, and everyone agrees to it at booking. Navigation with a map when a phone is in your pocket is not navigation. Instructors carry comms and there is a number your family can reach.
