Top Highlights

  • Todd MallThe Araluen centre holds one of the best collections of Central Desert painting anywhere, and it is the right first stop.
  • Simpsons GapThe range is 350 million years old and the waterholes in it are permanent, which is why they matter enormously here.

Did this over 6 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. The campsites were well chosen — sheltered, and close enough to water. No hesitation recommending them.

Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you on another trip.

The trek itself is good but the group was too large for the trail on the summit day. Guides answered every question, including the daft ones.

Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.

Northern Territory in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Food was plentiful and hot, which counts for a lot at altitude. Recommended.

Long transfer at both ends that isn't obvious from the listing. Budget a day either side. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing.

Northern Territory in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. The campsites were well chosen — sheltered, and close enough to water. The cooking was a genuine surprise — better than most places we'd have picked ourselves. Solid operator.
