BEFORE YOU GO · CAUTIONARY DETAILS
Distances are short, the standing is long
Two or three hours mostly on your feet on hard ground. Comfortable shoes matter more than fitness.
The route is public space
Markets, lanes and places of worship are where people live and pray. Ask before photographing anyone and cover up where others do.
Cash for the small things
Tea, a fritter, an entry ticket. Card acceptance in old quarters is patchy at best.
Ask what the group size will be
A walking tour of six and one of thirty are different products at the same price. It is a fair question.

Karnataka done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it. Solid operator.

Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Rooms were comfortable and the locations meant we could walk most evenings. Solid operator.

Too much time on the coach and not enough at the places we'd come for. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down.

Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Hotels were clean and central, which saved a lot of time. Meals were good throughout and the vegetarian options weren't an afterthought. Solid operator.

Well paced over 4 days with enough free time to not feel herded. No complaints about any of the hotels — all of them well placed. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it. Good value for what's included.
