Eight days north — whitewater on the Nile, rhino tracked on foot, and a river forced through a seven-metre gap.

The White Nile here is warm, big-volume and forgiving in the way cold rivers are not — which is why beginners run grade five on it.

Uganda's rhino were shot out entirely by the 1980s. Every one in the country is now at Ziwa, descended from a handful reintroduced in 2005.

Great few days in the water. Briefings were clear and nobody was pushed beyond their level. Dorms were tidy and the common areas were where the group actually gelled.
Thank you for travelling with us — glad the route worked out.
Instruction was patient — I came in nervous and finished wanting to book the next level. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. No hesitation recommending them.

Kit was in good condition, which matters more than people realise. Dorms were tidy and the common areas were where the group actually gelled. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it. Would book with them again.

Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.
Instruction was patient — I came in nervous and finished wanting to book the next level. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. Crew were professional without being stiff about it. Would send friends their way.
Visibility was excellent and the boat ran on time every morning. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing. No hesitation recommending them.

Conditions were poor for two of the days, which nobody can control, but the schedule wasn't adjusted.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you on another trip.
On this river, generally yes. The White Nile is warm, high-volume and the rapids are big but relatively free of the rock hazard that makes cold technical rivers dangerous. Every raft has a safety kayak alongside and there is a milder line on most rapids. Swimming is normal and expected.
