Two or three hours mostly on your feet on hard ground. Comfortable shoes matter more than fitness.

Markets, lanes and places of worship are where people live and pray. Ask before photographing anyone and cover up where others do.

Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. Meals were good throughout and the vegetarian options weren't an afterthought. Worth every rupee.

Questions people ask

Szechenyi is the huge outdoor one and best in winter with steam over the pools. Gellert is art nouveau, indoor and calmer. Rudas is Ottoman, small and has single-sex days. This trip includes Szechenyi and leaves the others optional.
