Two or three hours mostly on your feet on hard ground. Comfortable shoes matter more than fitness.

Markets, lanes and places of worship are where people live and pray. Ask before photographing anyone and cover up where others do.

Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. The cooking was a genuine surprise — better than most places we'd have picked ourselves. Recommended.

Well paced over 6 days with enough free time to not feel herded. No complaints about any of the hotels — all of them well placed. Food was plentiful and hot, which counts for a lot at altitude. No hesitation recommending them.

Seoul to Busan done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Hotels were clean and central, which saved a lot of time.

Questions people ask

Not reliably. The Joint Security Area tour is suspended more often than it runs and depends entirely on the security situation. The standard DMZ tour — the tunnel, the observatory, Imjingak — runs almost always, and that is what is included.
