“The same Himalayan routes in dorm tents and shared transport”
The budget half of the same market. Dorm tents, shared jeeps and no porters unless you hire one — and the same leaders on the hill.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Good value for what's included.
Pace was set for the fastest people in the group and it made the middle days hard. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you on another trip.
The trek itself is good but the group was too large for the trail on the summit day. Crew were professional without being stiff about it.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
Tamil Nadu in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Never went hungry, and the tea appeared exactly when it was needed. Would send friends their way.
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Tents were warmer than expected and the camp was set up before we arrived. Never went hungry, and the tea appeared exactly when it was needed. Recommended.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. No hesitation recommending them.
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Camp was pitched and the kitchen going by the time we walked in each evening. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it. Would send friends their way.
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Tents were warmer than expected and the camp was set up before we arrived. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Worth every rupee.
No, and nobody can. The forest department issues a capped number of vehicle permits each morning at Kodaikanal and they go early. Both operators queue for it and both list it as excluded rather than promising it. On a day it does not come through, the walk moves to Pillar Rocks and the Guna caves.
