Seven days with four on the trail and the Sun Gate at dawn. Seven days with permits secured five months ahead, a porter ratio above the legal minimum and two acclimatisation days before the trail.
Cusco is higher than Leh. People arrive from sea level and try to sightsee, and that is why they feel terrible on day two.

Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up.
Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. The teahouses were warm and the beds were fine after eight hours walking. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it. Would send friends their way.
Cusco & the Inca Trail in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Would book with them again.

The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Lodges along the way were simple and comfortable enough after a long day. Worth every rupee.
Cusco & the Inca Trail in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Rooms were basic in the best way — dry, warm, and right where we needed them. Crew were professional without being stiff about it. Would send friends their way.

The trek itself is good but the group was too large for the trail on the summit day. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Would send friends their way.
Thank you for travelling with us — glad the route worked out.
Cusco & the Inca Trail in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Every night's lodge was a step up from what I'd braced for. Simple food, well made, and enough of it. No hesitation recommending them.
