“The same Himalayan routes in dorm tents and shared transport”
The budget half of the same market. Dorm tents, shared jeeps and no porters unless you hire one — and the same leaders on the hill.
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Camp was pitched and the kitchen going by the time we walked in each evening. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy. Worth every rupee.
Thank you for travelling with us — glad the route worked out.
Did this over 4 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down.
Did this over 4 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it. Food was plentiful and hot, which counts for a lot at altitude. Would send friends their way.
The trek itself is good but the group was too large for the trail on the summit day.
Appreciate the honest feedback; we're looking at the pacing on that section.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it. Simple food, well made, and enough of it.

Kerala in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Good value for what's included.
Yes, and it does — the forest department shuts it in fire season, usually from February or March, and caps daily numbers the rest of the year. Permits are issued in person at the base and cannot be pre-bought, so the operator queues at opening.
