“The same Himalayan routes in dorm tents and shared transport”
The budget half of the same market. Dorm tents, shared jeeps and no porters unless you hire one — and the same leaders on the hill.
Long transfer at both ends that isn't obvious from the listing. Budget a day either side.
Appreciate the honest feedback; we're looking at the pacing on that section.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Tents were warmer than expected and the camp was set up before we arrived. Would send friends their way.
Langtang in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. The campsites were well chosen — sheltered, and close enough to water.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you on another trip.
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Camp was pitched and the kitchen going by the time we walked in each evening. Crew were professional without being stiff about it.
Did this over 7 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. Solid operator.
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Worth every rupee.
Did this over 7 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Recommended.
Yes. The valley reopened in 2016, the trail has been rebuilt and the teahouses are new. Trekking here is one of the more direct ways money reaches the community that lost the most in 2015.
