“Himalayan trekking with a fixed guide ratio and no offloading surcharge”
Started by two IMF-qualified leaders who were tired of watching groups of thirty share one guide. Ratios are written into the price and are not negotiable downward.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. No complaints about any of the hotels — all of them well placed.
Uttarakhand in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Rooms were comfortable and the locations meant we could walk most evenings. Simple food, well made, and enough of it. Would send friends their way.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. No hesitation recommending them.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
The trek itself is good but the group was too large for the trail on the summit day.
Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.
Long transfer at both ends that isn't obvious from the listing. Budget a day either side.

Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. No complaints about any of the hotels — all of them well placed. Worth every rupee.
The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Rooms were comfortable and the locations meant we could walk most evenings. Good value for what's included.
Pace was set for the fastest people in the group and it made the middle days hard. Crew were professional without being stiff about it.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
No. The last stretch to the lake is a snow slope and it is closed by the forest department or the lead in bad conditions. Roughly one departure in five turns around at Bhagwabasa, and that is the system working.
