8 days, planned by Farthest Field Co.
Eight days to a lake at 3,560 m and back down to a hot spring — the Tien Shan side of Kyrgyzstan that the Song Kul trip does not reach.

Eleven hours, two thousand metres of ascent and descent combined, and both sides of the pass are loose scree. The lake is an impossible turquoise and nobody stays long because of the wind.

The springs are in concrete huts built in the Soviet period and they are exactly what you want the day after the pass.

“Long-haul group trips for people with two weeks and no plan”
Long transfer at both ends that isn't obvious from the listing. Budget a day either side.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you on another trip.
Long transfer at both ends that isn't obvious from the listing. Budget a day either side. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it.

Issyk-Kul in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Would send friends their way.
Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. Would send friends their way.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Solid operator.
The trek itself is good but the group was too large for the trail on the summit day.
Thank you for travelling with us — glad the route worked out.
Issyk-Kul in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. No hesitation recommending them.
Pace was set for the fastest people in the group and it made the middle days hard. Crew were professional without being stiff about it.

It is the hardest single day in this catalogue outside the high-altitude expeditions — around eleven hours, roughly a thousand metres up and a thousand down, and both sides are loose scree that takes concentration when you are tired. The six-day version splits it deliberately.
