BEFORE YOU GO · CAUTIONARY DETAILS
Distances are short, the standing is long
Two or three hours mostly on your feet on hard ground. Comfortable shoes matter more than fitness.
The route is public space
Markets, lanes and places of worship are where people live and pray. Ask before photographing anyone and cover up where others do.
Cash for the small things
Tea, a fritter, an entry ticket. Card acceptance in old quarters is patchy at best.
Ask what the group size will be
A walking tour of six and one of thirty are different products at the same price. It is a fair question.

Good mix of the obvious things and a few places we'd never have found. Crew were professional without being stiff about it. No hesitation recommending them.

Good mix of the obvious things and a few places we'd never have found. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy. Worth every rupee.

Nile and Petra done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Good value for what's included.

Too much time on the coach and not enough at the places we'd come for. Guides answered every question, including the daft ones.

Well paced over 11 days with enough free time to not feel herded. Rooms were comfortable and the locations meant we could walk most evenings. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down.

Appreciate the honest feedback; we're looking at the pacing on that section.

Questions people ask

The Taba land crossing into Israel and on to Jordan is possible but slow and adds a third country's formalities. A flight via Cairo takes four hours door to door and is what almost every operator uses.
