Seven days ski touring the classic high-level route from the Mont Blanc massif to the Matterhorn. Tonight is the avalanche drill and it is not a formality.

“Walking in Europe with the timed tickets booked at release”
A walking operator whose main skill is administrative: Alhambra slots, Sagrada tickets and hut beds, booked the day they open.
Instruction was solid and the days were well judged for conditions. The teahouses were warm and the beds were fine after eight hours walking. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing. Good value for what's included.
Snow was good and the group was kept to a sensible size. Every night's lodge was a step up from what I'd braced for. Would send friends their way.
Conditions were marginal and I'd have preferred them to say so before we set out.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
Snow was good and the group was kept to a sensible size. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it. Worth every rupee.

Instruction was solid and the days were well judged for conditions. Lodges along the way were simple and comfortable enough after a long day.

Instruction was solid and the days were well judged for conditions. Solid operator.
Confident off-piste on any slope up to about forty degrees, in variable snow, with a heavy pack, for six hours. It is not about steepness — it is about skiing breakable crust at the end of a long day without falling. Operators ask what you have skied and turn people down.
