Seven days at altitude, ending on the salt. Seven days with two La Paz acclimatisation days, a private 4x4 on the lagoon circuit and a salt hotel night rather than a refuge.
El Alto airport is at 4,061 m — higher than anything in the Alps. The first day is for sitting still and drinking water.

The old Yungas road killed enough people to earn its name; traffic now uses the new road, and the old one is a gravel descent from 4,650 m to 1,200 m. It is still a cliff with no railing.

Well paced over 7 days with enough free time to not feel herded. Lodges along the way were simple and comfortable enough after a long day. Good value for what's included.

Good mix of the obvious things and a few places we'd never have found. Lodges along the way were simple and comfortable enough after a long day. Worth every rupee.
La Paz & Uyuni done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Food was plentiful and hot, which counts for a lot at altitude. Good value for what's included.
Well paced over 7 days with enough free time to not feel herded. Every night's lodge was a step up from what I'd braced for. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Recommended.
Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing.

Hotels were a step below what I expected for the price. Crew were professional without being stiff about it.

Good mix of the obvious things and a few places we'd never have found. Lodges along the way were simple and comfortable enough after a long day. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it. Would book with them again.
