10 days, planned by Dust & Thorn
Ten days from the falls to a stone city nobody in Europe believed Africans had built.
LANDMARKS

Victoria Falls
Rainforest walk

Eighty-five percent of the falls face is on the Zimbabwean side, which is why the viewing path here is longer than the Zambian one.
LANDMARKS

Hwange has no natural surface water in the dry season. The game concentrates at pumped pans, which is both why the viewing is good and why the pumps matter so much.

Hwange holds one of the largest surviving populations of painted dog anywhere, and the research trust here is the reason.

Matobo is granite weathered into balanced stacks, and it is one of very few places you can track white rhino on foot with a guide.
LANDMARKS
---
Matobo Hills
Balancing rocks
World's View
The San paintings here are among the oldest dated rock art in southern Africa. The rhino tracking is on foot and the briefing is not a formality.

“The same reserves from camps outside the gates”
Camps outside the park boundary and shared vehicles, which is most of the price difference and none of the wildlife.
Excellent sightings and the guides clearly knew the area. Would send friends their way.
Early starts, but that's where the wildlife is. Well run. Would book with them again.

Early starts, but that's where the wildlife is. Well run. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. Plenty to eat and they were happy to work around a gluten allergy.
Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.

About eighty-five percent of the falls face is Zimbabwean and the viewing path is longer, so the Zimbabwe side gives you more of it. Zambia gives you Devil's Pool and the closer edge in low water. If you only do one, this side.
