Habana Vieja House

7 days, planned by Pumice & Pine
Cuba runs on cash, foreign cards mostly do not work, and internet is bought by the hour on a card. The briefing on day one is genuinely necessary.

“Andes and Central America, altitude planned properly”
Every itinerary is built around where you sleep rather than where you go, because in the Andes that is the only decision that matters.
Hotels were a step below what I expected for the price. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing.
Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.

Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. Guides answered every question, including the daft ones. Recommended.
Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Hotels were clean and central, which saved a lot of time. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Recommended.
Well paced over 7 days with enough free time to not feel herded. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. Guides answered every question, including the daft ones. No hesitation recommending them.

Havana to Trinidad done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Would send friends their way.
Havana to Trinidad done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Rooms were comfortable and the locations meant we could walk most evenings. Guides answered every question, including the daft ones.
Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. No complaints about any of the hotels — all of them well placed. The lead was calm and knew when to slow the group down. Good value for what's included.
Assume not. Cards issued by US banks do not work at all, and others are unreliable. Bring enough euros or Canadian dollars in cash for the whole trip and change on arrival. This is the single thing people get wrong about Cuba.
