Top Highlights

  • MoriA long road day into the Tons, one of the least-visited valleys in Uttarakhand.
  • Rupin riverThe Sewa temple is Himachali in style though the village is barely across the line.
  • Rupin waterfallShort and steep, climbing the side of the waterfall itself.
  • Rupin PassThe gully is the crux — steep snow, roped where it needs to be, and a 4:30 AM start so it is still frozen.
  • Sangla to ShimlaYou finish in a different state from the one you started in, which is most of the point of this trek.

Did this over 7 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. No hesitation recommending them.

Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. The campsites were well chosen — sheltered, and close enough to water. Solid operator.

The route is beautiful and the pacing was sensible — nobody was rushed on the climb. Sleeping under canvas at that height is cold work and the kit was up to it. Food was plentiful and hot, which counts for a lot at altitude. Recommended.

The trek itself is good but the group was too large for the trail on the summit day.

Uttarakhand & Himachal in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. The campsites were well chosen — sheltered, and close enough to water.

Pace was set for the fastest people in the group and it made the middle days hard.
