People genuinely applaud the sunset at Arpoador. The safety briefing is also genuine — Rio needs specific habits, not vague caution.

“Latin America by public bus, the way most people actually do it”
Overland routes on scheduled buses and public ferries. Slower, cheaper, and closer to how the continent moves.
Rio de Janeiro done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Solid operator.
Rio de Janeiro done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Dorms were tidy and the common areas were where the group actually gelled. Guides answered every question, including the daft ones. No hesitation recommending them.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
Too much time on the coach and not enough at the places we'd come for. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it.

Hotels were a step below what I expected for the price. Crew were professional without being stiff about it.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you on another trip.

Rio de Janeiro done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. The team read the group well and adjusted without making a thing of it. Recommended.
Good mix of the obvious things and a few places we'd never have found. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. Solid operator.
Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.
It needs specific habits rather than general worry: no phone out on the street, nothing in your hands on the beach, apps rather than hailed taxis, and do not walk between neighbourhoods after dark. Inside those rules the south zone is straightforward. The briefing on day one is specific about which streets.
