6 days, planned by Cypress & Stone
Six days walking between five villages that had no road to them until the 1960s and still barely do.

The Via dell'Amore between Riomaggiore and Manarola has been closed by rockfall far more often than it has been open. The high route is the walk.

Corniglia to Vernazza is the section everyone photographs. At half past seven you have it; by ten it is single file.

Each village has a sanctuary on the hill above it, linked by a ridge path that gets a fraction of the coastal traffic and better views than any of it.

Seeing the five villages from the water is the one view the paths cannot give you, and Portovenere at the end is the sixth village nobody counts.

“Walking in Europe with the timed tickets booked at release”
A walking operator whose main skill is administrative: Alhambra slots, Sagrada tickets and hut beds, booked the day they open.
Second trek with this operator and they've kept the standard up. Accommodation was a notch better than the price suggested. Would send friends their way.
Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. No complaints about any of the hotels — all of them well placed. Good value for what's included.
Did this over 6 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Would book with them again.
Liguria in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. No complaints about any of the hotels — all of them well placed. Solid operator.

Pace was set for the fastest people in the group and it made the middle days hard. Crew were professional without being stiff about it.
Thanks for writing this up. We've passed your note to the team.

Almost entirely. The four-city Italy trip here stops at the villages and moves between them by train, which is a good afternoon. This walks all five sections plus the sanctuary ridge, sleeps in four different villages, and is about five hours a day on steep stone steps. Different trip, different reason to come.
