Seven days along the Tokaido, with Fuji on a clear morning. The same route in business hotels a little further out, with unreserved train seats and self-guided city days.
Get the Suica on day one; it pays for every train, bus and vending machine for the rest of the trip.

Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Hostel nights are basic but clean, and that's what the price says. Solid operator.
Thank you. We've taken the point about the transfer and are reviewing it.
Good mix of the obvious things and a few places we'd never have found. Recommended.
Kanto & Kansai done well. The itinerary had room to breathe. Hostel nights are basic but clean, and that's what the price says. Never went hungry, and the tea appeared exactly when it was needed. Solid operator.
Too much time on the coach and not enough at the places we'd come for. Crew were professional without being stiff about it.
Appreciate the honest feedback; we're looking at the pacing on that section.
Everything was arranged properly — transfers, entries, all of it. Dorms were tidy and the common areas were where the group actually gelled.

Well paced over 7 days with enough free time to not feel herded. Nothing fancy about the beds, and nothing wrong with them either. Recommended.
