  • CordilleraThe overnight bus is the normal way and it saves a day.
  • ManilaAn unavoidable transfer day.
  • Chocolate HillsThe hills are limestone, about twelve hundred of them, and they go brown in the dry season which is where the name comes from.
  • BalicasagBalicasag has a resident sardine ball and green turtles on the drop-off.
  • General LunaSiargao was a fishing island until surfers found Cloud 9 in the eighties.

  • Sohoton CoveSohoton is entered through a cave mouth that only clears at low tide, so the whole day runs off the tide table.

Long transfer at both ends that isn't obvious from the listing. Budget a day either side. Whoever planned the days knew what they were doing.

Cordillera and Visayas in the right season is something else, and the team knew exactly where to camp. Would send friends their way.

Well organised from the pickup onwards. The daily distances were honest about what they'd be. No complaints about any of the hotels — all of them well placed. No hesitation recommending them.

Did this over 11 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Crew were professional without being stiff about it. Recommended.
