Did this over 10 days and it was the best walking I've done in years. Camp was pitched and the kitchen going by the time we walked in each evening. Food was plentiful and hot, which counts for a lot at altitude. Recommended.
No. It is a restricted area: a licensed guide is mandatory, and the permit requires a minimum of two trekkers. Solo permits are not issued at all.
